Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth apologises to pro-Kannada groups allow Kuselan movie release in Karnataka.
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is facing a lot of troubles to release the Kuselan movie in Bangalore due to his aggressive speech where he slammed Karnataka over the Hogenakkal water issues , on 4th April 08. Regarding this issue Narayana Gowda, President of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike says Rajnikanth’s clarification as unacceptable and the pro-Kannada group said that Rajinikantha will not be allowed to enter the Karnataka soil until he apologises.
Rajinikanth on 31st July 08, Thursday gave an interview to a TV channel in Hyderabad, where he was to attend the release of Kuselan, and said that his comment “kick them“ made during the Hogenakkal row was targeted at goondas and bad elements. He stressed that he was not at all referring to Kannadigas and Kannada organisations fighting for the cause of their language.
Expressing regret he said, “It was a mistake” also “learnt a lesson” from the episode and “will think 10 times” before he is asked to speak in any function. I will be careful while speaking in future and see that I don’t hurt anybody,
After the TV interview, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike volunteers announced that they were ending their protest. Finally Kuselan was released on Thursday night at the Cauvery and Urvashi theatres in Bangalore and tickets were sold exclusively for fans of the actor.
