Vadivelu’s comedy sequences in Sakthi’s movies have proved to be a hit be it in Englishkaran, Maha Nadigan or Vyapari. Guru Shisyan also promises excellent comic relief from Vadivelu. The movie is being shot presently in and around Pollachi.

Hema Malini after her recent appearance in Indira Vizha plays the love interest of Sundar C in Guru Shisyan. She is also working with Jeevan in Selva’s Naan Avan Illai 2.

Shooting for the film, which has been in the making for two years, has finally ended, with the climax being shot in Malaysia. Post production for the film has begun, while plans are on to release the flick this September.

Speaking about the project, producer Jhabak reveals that the film will be a sure-shot success. “I have seen rushes of this film and I’m sure it’ll create more than twice the impact that ‘Anjathey’ did.

It is a nostalgic journey, shot very picturesquely and some great music. This is the first time that we have attempted producing a movie like this and we are sure this will be a roaring success,” he adds.

Endhiran is a forthcoming science-fiction film being directed by S. Shankar, who with Endhiran, directs his tenth feature film. The movie Production houses involved into this opulence project are Ayngaran International Pvt Ltd and Eros International. The music composed from A. R. Rahman would feature lyrics from Vairamuthu and Pa.Vijay, while Raju Sundaram will act as a choreographer to the songs. The film will be Cinematography by R.Ratnavelu. Three world distinguished people who worked with many Hollywood block buster movies reveal their expertise for the first time in Tamil cinema and they are, Mary E Vogt who designed terrific scientific outfits for each character in Men IN Black (MIB), Batman Returns, and Inspector Gadget etc is to design our robot’s outfits. Stan Winston Studio (USA) who did animatronics for Predator, Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbour, Iron Man, Terminator and I-Robot is to make the same with Endhiran. Yuen Woo Ping handled stunt for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Matrix and Kill Bill is currently working for Endhiran. The location hunting team visited Vienna in Austria, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Hanoi in Vietnam to pick suitable locations.

There could be no second thought that Gautam Menon is a talented director coupled with slick technical capabilities. But, the allegation the director has been facing is that many of his movies are nothing but remakes of English originals.

With ‘Kaakka Kaakka’ and ‘Vettaiyadu Vilayadu’ had a buzz that they were vernacular versions of Hollywood movies, Gautam’s latest flick ‘Pachaikili Muthucharam’ too did not escape from that. It was said that the movie was inspired from Jennifer Aniston starret ‘Derailed’. And the latest news that is doing rounds in Kollywood is that, his upcoming project ‘Varanam Aayiram’, which has Surya in lead role is also a remake of the Academy Award winner ‘Forest Gump’. However, whether the movie will be a remake or not, one thing is sure that the film will surely have the ‘fairy touch’ of Gautam to woo the Tamil audience.
