The Malluwood actress celebrated her special day on the sets of NTR’s ‘Adurs’ in Hyderabad. Last night, her friends had arranged for a get-together where she cut the cake.

And what more? She has another get-together later tonight, where she will be spending time with some ’special friends’.

“I am on cloud nine. It’s a sheer pleasure to receive calls from friends who remember me wherever they are. My phone has not stopped ringing since last night,” she says.

Apart from ‘Adurs’, Nayanthara has signed two more films- one in Malayalam with director Shyamaprasad and a Tamil movie tiled ‘Boss Engira Bhaskaran’ opposite Arya.

To be directed by Rajesh of ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ fame and produced by Srinivasan of Vasan Visuals Ventures, the film will go on floors this weekend.

Nayan, whose original name was Diana Mariam Kurian, started her journey in films after she won a model competition in Kerala. Her first film was ‘Manasinakkare’ (2003), for which she won the Best Female Newface of the Year Award from a popular television channel.

She entered Tamil cinema with ‘Ayya’, the Sarathkumar starrer, directed by Hari. The break of her life came in the form of Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Chandramukhi’. The film directed by P Vasu took her to the masses. Then came Simbu’s ‘Vallavan’. And the rest is, as they say, ‘history’.

However, the actress, in a recent interview has disclosed that Prabhu Deva is a close friend and there is nothing more to it as the media speculates. The lady maintains that she would never go against the wishes of her parents when it comes to marriage. Will this disclosure put an end to all the rumors involving Nayan and Prabhu Deva?

Nayantara will essay the title role (Electra Alexander) in Electra, produced by Vindhayan under the banner of Rasika Entertainments. The movie is expected to start rolling by the end of November, after Shyamaprasad releases his ongoing Ritu, a tale of friendship that blooms in the changing social and emotional landscape of a small South Indian town.

Meanwhile, Nayantara is currently busy with four films: Adurs, Anjaneyulu (Telugu), Aadhavan (Tamil) and Bodyguard  (Malayalam).  The actress recently bagged a female-oriented role in Telugu flick to be directed by Kodi Ramakrishna of recent Tollywood mega hit Arundhathi fame. The movie is to be a socio-fantasy-cum-graphical extravaganza like Arundhathi.

After some unlucky days and back-to-back flops in the past like Kuselan (Kathanayakudu in Telugu), Satyam (Salute in Telugu),  Villu and Aegan, it seems Nayatara is all set to bounce back to her No. 1 position in the South.

1. Are you in love with Prabhu Deva?

I am not in love with anyone. I love only the films I act.

2.What was the reason for the silence? You could have told this earlier.

There is no necessity for me to reply to anyone about these silly things. I have no time to explain about the rumors spread about me. The only people I should explain are to my parents. They have faith in me and given me full freedom. I will not take advantage of this.

3. There were wedding photos of you and Prabhu Deva. What have you got to say about this?

Those were graphic generated images. I was totally upset seeing these pictures. In fact I lost my balance.

4. There was news that you met Simbhu recently. Have you joined with him once again?

We have met recently to discuss about a story. There is no other reason. This meeting was purely professional and not personal. I am not in love with anyone.

5. You are acting so glamorously.

Men prefer to see mein glamour roles. That is the reason I am acting so glamaroulsy.

6. Why did you walk out of Paiya?

They had signed me for this film, but since some of my films did not do well at the box office, they wanted me to reduce my salary. I did not agree for this. So another actress was selected who took lesser pay than me. There is nothing wrong in this.

7. It seems that your parents are accompanying to shooting spots.

What is wrong in this? This is an ordinary matter.

Vishal has done rigorous workout to fit in to the cop role also he has spent most of the time in the gym to give that tough-guy feel to the audience. The movie Sathyam will release on Independence Day (15^th Aug). Vishal hopes that the film will set a new trend in Kollywood industry.
